Major Site Updates: Enhanced Search, Performance & User Experience
We've rolled out some significant improvements to make browsing and discovering militaria items much smoother. The biggest change you'll notice is on our explore pages - the search and filter sections now start collapsed by default, giving you a cleaner view of the products right away. Just click the section headers to expand them when you need to refine your search. We've also cleaned up the interface by removing emojis from these sections for a more professional look that focuses on the content.
Behind the scenes, we've implemented a complete performance overhaul with a new product clustering system that groups items by source and time periods, making pages load significantly faster. The homepage and product listing pages now use this smart clustering to organize items more logically, while we've enhanced the search functionality to work better across all our different data sources. We've also fixed a critical technical issue with our vector similarity system that was causing errors on some product detail pages.
Additionally, we've improved how site names and logos are displayed throughout the platform - no more awkward underscores in names like "Chase_Militaria" (now properly shows as "Chase Militaria"), and we've standardized the logo presentation for consistency. These changes, combined with our new design system and enhanced mobile responsiveness, create a more polished experience whether you're browsing on desktop or mobile. The site now feels faster, looks cleaner, and makes it easier to find exactly what you're looking for in our growing collection of military collectibles.
