US WWII Era Coast Guard Officers Hat Insignia, Double Sterling Marked

Original era manufacture. Coast Guard officers visor hat eagle. A fine quality piece of insignia, two-piece construction, with both sections, the eagle and anchor being Sterling marked, which is 92.5 silver content. In addition, the markings on the eagle have what looks to be English style silver proofs above the word sterling, so possibly English made. Vintage patina finish to the obverse
