3-Piece Mother's Cross & Social Welfare Medal Bar

This is a nice 3-Piece Women's Medal Bar (Ordenspange), consisting of a War Merit Medal (Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939), a Mothers Cross in Bronze (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter) and a Social Welfare Medal 3rd Class (Ehrenzeichen für Deutsche Volkspflege 3. Stufe). All three medals are in very good condition. The medals are nicely mounted on a medal-bar for wear on the 'walking-out' tunic, the medal-bar is having a nice backing cloth. The medal-bar comes on its functional pin/catch set-up. It's very rare to find a Mother's Cross mounted on a medal-bar, especially in combination with a Social Welfare Medal 3rd Class. This is the first such combination I've ever came accross. This medal-bar reportedly belonged to 'Else Schmidt', the wife of the wartime mayor from Stuttgart. Rare original medal-bar in very good condition.
