Prussian WWI, M1915 Enlisted Cuirassier Helmet, Restored

Original era manufacture. All steel construction shell, size marked 56 on the neck edge, with a makers tag inside the shell by Wiessenburger. The exterior of the helmet has been cleaned, and then plated at some point in the recent past, with a brass Prussian eagle and replica brass chinscales added to make the helmet appear as an earlier model. Small size replica Prussian & National kokarden. The spike base is in original matt gray finish, the locking mechanism has been removed from the spike interior. It is what it is...better to have been left alone in it's original state, but it remains a WWI manufactured helmet. Looks decent, oh well.
