Description
Extremely rare worn and untouched M40 pattern (first pattern!) summer field blouse in good condition. Exectuted in typical HBT (herring bone twill) light weight material for summer use. We intend to find a lot of M42 and M43 patterns of these jackets, but this is one of the first times we encounter a M40 tunic and still having its original factory applied insignia attached in zig-zag pattern. The jacket was shortened a bit for combat wear, as observed with many others. Stampings are nearly gone, only a few white-ink numbers remain visible of the size stamp. The neck area shows some repairs and on cuff also has a small repair. Other than that the jacket is void of holes or damages. A genuine M40 pattern summer tunic – VERY hard to find!
