Description
Original era manufacture. An issue quality coat with a 1918 dated contract tag in the hem of the lining. Standard four pocket configuration with original sewn vegetable ivory buttons, each decorated with the American eagle, but pierced in their centers with two stitch holes. The shoulder strap buttons are of the normal issue pattern. Nicely hand stitched 89th Division SSI on the left shoulder, with a Honorable Discharge Stripe and two overseas stripes below. The HDS looks to be a more recent addition. National Army & Artillery collar discs, collector applied US Navy wide pattern Victory Medal ribbon. There are a few small moth nips but nothing to get excited over. A solid example in about a size 38.
