Description
Original era manufacture. A scarce example of the first issue of the Army enlisted service belt, maker marked and dated, R.I.A. 1904. In addition to being a service belt for enlisted men, this was also often adorned with holster, ammunition pouches and sabre straps for duty. The belt measures 48 inches in length, the stitching is tight, the leather is pliable. There is a half-inch tear in the top of the belt edge about 8 inches back from the tip. This only the second example of this belt we have ever offered.
