Japanese Ceramic WW2 Vacuum Container for Air Raid Food-This is a boueishoku youki or a defense food container made of a white porcelain. This container that would be vacuum packed with a matching ceramic lid, it might hold rice or other war rations. This cup stands 3 inches (8.5 cm) wide, and 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm) tall. There is green kanji on the side that reads “Defense Food 防衛食, Japan Air Raid Food Corporation 大日本防空食料株式会社 and Senshichiro Ozawa 社長 小澤専七郎.The inside of this cup does have a shallow crack, but this is not cracked through to the outside. Overall, it is in good condition and something we don't get to see every day.
