WW1 German M95 Prussian officer spike helmet

Sold
€850.00 β€”

Description

Untouched 'as found' original M1895 pattern spike helmet for a Prussian officer, as worn during the First World War. One 'star' up top has gone missing. The front eagle shows nice patina and is well 'sunk' into the leather of the helmet, it never left the helmet. The chin strap shows a maker mark on the reverse and the helmet itself is marked by M. Wunderlicht, Nachfolger, Berlin S.W. and is size marked (large) '59 1/2β€². The rear of the helmet is somewhat out of shape but could be fixed using a hat spanner. The liner remains in good condition for its age. Just an honest 100% untouched Prussian officer spike helmet.
