German WH M40 SD Combat Helmet with Battle damage and Half Wire Basket

In a very nice condition a real combat relic of WW2.The helmet is a very nice German M40 Single Decal Combat helmet in size 62 with a 55 liner.The helmet comes in it's original rough fieldgrey paint and has the Wehrmacht decal still present.The helmet shell is nicely maker marked by NS (Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG, Schwerte) and comes with productionnumber 123.On the outside is an original chickenwire half basket attached and still in it's place like it was attached 80 years ago.The chickenwire has on one side damage like visible on the pictures.The early M40 helmet has still a very nice Aluminium liner original attached and has never been out of the helmet.The helmet shall has been crushed during the war and has on three sides some real 'stress' cracks.A very stunning battle relic of WW2.
