Luftwaffe Summer Officer's Visor Cap (Sommerschirmmütze für Offiziere). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased white-topped Officer's summer visor cap, the sweat diamond lost its printing. The leather sweat-band however is nicely maker marked by the famous 'Erel' company from Berlin. The cap is complete with original carton size tag '54'. The cap is having the silver piping for officers. The cap is complete with its original white removable top, a hand-embroidered on white officer's type cap-eagle is attached to the removable top, it is attached by three brass prongs. An Officer's type hand-embroiderd cocarde is hand-sewn to the black center-band. The cap is in very good condition and showing normal traces of usage, some small damages and staining. Hard to find original Luftwaffe Officer's Summer Visor Cap in very good condition!
