Japanese WWII Army Officers Field Cap

Original era manufacture. Later war quality cap of shoddy wool, thin leather adjustable chinstrap, with a gold wire embroidered star on the front. The two chinstrap securing buttons are decorated with a cherry blossom. The lining is of a black imitation silk like material with an embroidered tag, thin leather sweatband with a tear on one side. There is a sizable moth hole in the crown as shown. The hat displays minimal wear, all of the small metal grommets are present.
