WW2 French AFV Helmet 1939

Sold
£350.00

Description

An untouched WW2 French army Armoured Vehicle troops helmet with flaming grenade badge to front for motorised machine gun units etc. A helmet that has not been touched for many years it has crash pad to front to protect the wearers forehead when entering & exiting the vehicle. There was at one time a secondary piece of leather between the liner & pad to cover the rim of the steel shell this was appaerently removed by the wearer some time ago. Black leather liner intact & left exactly as it came uncleaned for years . When one lifts the liner tongues the marking for the well known firm 'Gouet' is present with clear date of 1939. Interesting piece of WW2 French military history.
