WW1 German Relic Battle Damaged Helmet

An iconic relic of the Marne battlefields this 'Coal Scuttle' helmet has battle damage in the form of a splintered hole ripped through the rear rim with a smaller shrapnel hole having come thorugh the top from the inside . Interesting to note that both ventilation lugs have been filled this often done by the soldier for the purposes of insulation & to prevent the wind whistling through it.
