WW2 German Army M40 Reissue Helmet

German M40 combat helmet with both decals removed & a granulated dark grey overpaint applied to the entirety of the helmet. This helmet was recently sourced in the USA being a bringback by a US serviceman. There is some dark hardened staining to the interior leather quite possibly as the result of a headwound. sustained by the original wearer with traces of a handwritten name just about visibe to the liner. All three of its liner pins are totally undisturbed with band having never been out of the helmet. Maker letters & size mark of 'SE64' are visible with lot number '11826' to rear. A good untouched combat helmet from the NW Europe theatre of operations.
