WW2 German M35 Double Decal Army Helmet

An M35 double decal army helmet that has no doubt seen much action with heavy combat wear to exterior shell & liner. Factory painted in the early apple green of army helmets both the national tri colour shield & army decal have survived well & are in the most part intact. The interior M40 steel banded liner remains largely intact with forehead area having suffered some detachment of the leather along its edge . Original drawstring still present. Maker mark & size to underside of the shells rim are not visible due to natural paint patination with age. Chinstrap is marked to a 'Nurnberg' maker with date 1940. Slight tear to one end ( See Image ). Overall a DD army helmet that has seen heavy wear.
