WW2 British Royal Engineers Officer Battledress 1944

A Canadian battledress worn by a British Captain of the Royal Engineers . Canadian battledress was commonly worn by British troops when they could acquire them due to there smarter & more comfortable appearance. This example has embroidered 'Royal Engineers' shoulder titles to each arm with arm of service strips beneath each. Three worsted pips adorn each shoulder strap signifying rank of Captain. Maker marked & dated 1944 to inside lining . In excellent condition.
