A high quality private purchase Artillery officers M38 sidecap with originally applied bulllion insignia & red for Artillery branch of service soutache . Made from doeskin wool it has silver piping for officer rank & a green satin lining with partial leather forehead protector with company trademark. The size mark '56' can be seen on the lining this cap being one of several available for purchase by officers of the army. Some light wear overall & no moth.
