WW1 Canadian Cold Weather Hat 1918

A late WW1 Canadian item of issue cold weather gear this is the cap that came with ear flaps which could be pulled down over the ears. This excellent condition example still has its clothing label stitched to the interior giving date of May 1918 & the manufacturer as 'Gauss-Langenburg Hat Co' . Interior of cao & underside of flaps have a mixed wool lining for warmth . There are several small moth nips to the underside of the brim.
