WH (Heer) Tropical Belt & Buckle

WH (Heer) Tropical Belt & Buckle (Tropen Koppel mit Koppelschloß). With the impending German entrance into the North African campaign, tropical uniforms and equipment were quickly developed and issued in time for 'Deutsches Afrika Korps', this included canvas web construction belt & buckles. Later during the war these tropical belts were, due to leather shortages, issued in all theatres of battle. Nice olive/green painted steel construction box buckle. The buckle is complete with its original webbing tab. It comes on its webbing tropical belt as found together. The 90 cms long green coloured webbing belt is faintly marked. Nice and scarce original tropical belt & buckle in good used condition.
