WW1 German Camouflage M17 Helmet With Rare Grey Chromed Leather Pad Holders

WW1 German three colour block camouflage helmet with rare grey green chrome leather pads. A helmet that has kept its rather striking camouflage effect the three classic colours of tan ochre , forest green & brown are cleverly painted in different block shapes to the entirety of the helmet. The scheme itself makes an interesting study & is yet another example of the non standard patterns that can be encountered prior to the Ludendorff ' thick black dividing lines' directive of 1918. Interior gives us the maker & size 'ET64' with intact liner system. Used here are the rarer grey green chrome leather pads most commonly seen in off white leather on these M17 helmets.
