WW1 German Ersatz Felt Pickelhaube Of Baden

A fabulous ersatz felt pickelhaube for the State of Baden complete with original chinstrap cockades. This piece is in early construction most likely from the late 1914 period with brass fittings such as spike , spike mount & front peak edging . As is well known these vary greatly in their manufacture this example having never been fitted with a rear spine . The front plate is impressive with crisp detailing remaining to high points. Internal liner system remains intact with both front plate holes never interfered with & retaining both brass rings . Overall there is a good amount of service wear this having being a piece that has clearly seen action in the fighting of WW1.
