WW1 German M17 Three Tone Camouflage Helmet

A large sized WW1 German camouflage helmet complete with liner , cushion holders & two of its internal cushion pads. This helmet has been painted in the classic three colour segmented paint scheme with each section seperated by a black dividing line. Tan ochre , forest green & dark brown have been handbrushed applied with the dividing lines carefully painted around each section at various angles. Interior of helmet shows the maker mark 'Q66' for the firm Quist . The metal liner band of M17 pattern is good & firm with all pins undisturbed. The off white chromed leather pads show heavy wear with draw string intact. There is a small stress tear to one holder.
