Description

Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 37.5 inches in length, running straight and true, marked on the spine Klingenthal 1823. Scattered areas of clouding and corrosion staining along it's length on both sides, with a few spots of corrosion pitting. There are no major nicks in the blade edge, just some scattered nail catchers. Three branch brass guard with floral decoration, on the branches and pommel. Leather wrapped grip with single twisted brass wire binding. Refinished steel scabbard with a few minor dents, two suspension rings. Both the scabbard body and guard are marked MANCEAU A.PARIS. The blade needs a proper cleaning otherwise a nice Crimea era sword.
