War Merit Cross with swords award document signed by Knight Cross w. Oaks and Swords bearer Gen. Weidling

Beautiful War Merit Cross with swords (Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern) award document from Obergefreiter Richmann, who was part of the Stab/Div.-Nachschubtuppen 186, that belonged to the 86th Infantry Division. Interesting is that this document was signed by the commandor of the 86 Infanterie-Division 'General der Artillerie Helmuth Weidling' who received the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. He was the last commander of the Berlin Defence Area during the Battle of Berlin, and led the defence of the city against Soviet forces, finally surrendering just before the end of World War II in Europe.
