Polish Regimental Badge, Collectors Copy, 16th Cavalry Panasiuk

Sold
$20.00

Description

Post WWII Manufacture. Die struck badge with a screwpost reverse and a brass securing disc. Prior to 1939, the Polish military was famous for the awarding of these handsome badges, all featuring beautiful workmanship and most displaying quality enamel work. These badges had to be earned, so not every serving soldier was able to attain one, making original examples quite scarce and very expensive today. Beginning sometime in the 1970's or 1980's, these beautiful remakes began to appear, many bearing the Panasiuk name on the securing disc. These badges represent the regiments of a brave Army that battled ferocious attacks from Communist Russia and Nazi Germany in September 1939.
