Original era manufacture. Of a pattern adopted at the 1874 National Encampment (Harrisburg Pennsylvania), to honor those who served as past officers within the GAR. The light blue edging on the flag ribbon denotes a service at a Post level.Numbered on the edge,  age and wear, separation of the ribbon from the medal and the eagle.
