British WWII Highland Balmoral Bonnet

Original era manufacture. This interesting hat I believe began life as a General Service Hat, made by the firm of XX Gelfer, then wearer-modified for Highland service with the addition of a khaki drab wool toori on the top, and a square of tartan plaid on the left side. The cap is well worn, and size marked 6 3/8's I think. Cool old hat, needs an appropriate badge installed.
