Danish 1882 Pattern Navy Cutlass, WKC Solingen Mfg.

Original era manufacture. A German made cutlass with a 25 inch slender polished steel blade. The blade is clean, displaying a few shallow nicks in the cutting edge with evidence of an old cleaning to the surface due to light surface corrosion. Faint Weyersberg Kirschbaum Cie Solingen markings on the ricasso. Brass basket type guard, back strap and pommel, with a crowned fouled anchor emblem at the front. Shagreen wrapped grip showing several spots of wear to the surface, and bound with single strand brass wire. Black leather bodied scabbard with brass throat and drag. Normal age and wear overall.
