Japanese WWII Dispatch Case

Description

Japanese WWII Dispatch Case-This scarce dispatch is made of a brown leather that is mounted to a small metal frame. The leather has shrunk a bit from age, but it still a nice warm brown color. The fit to the frame isn't perfect, but it still looks good. The back of the bag is a leather covered pressboard. The flap of the case shows a white embroidered Japanese star. There is a leather closing strap that passes through a small leather loop and attaches at a small stud or button. This case has two pockets inside for maps or documents. On the reverse of the case are two “D-rings”. The metal fittings do show some rusting, as does the case, with some verdigris seen as well. These items have become very popular lately.  This one won't last long.
