French WWI Era, 1855-1883 Field Officers Sabre

Original era manufacture. Polished steel, double edged blade measuring 34 inches in length. Running straight and true, with a central ridge along the entire length of the blade on both sides. Ornate, cast gilded brass guard with a carved horn grip which was once bound with wire. Polished steel scabbard with two suspension rings, minor spotting or staining along it's length.
