Description

German WWII HJ Buckle by Felix & Söhne-This is an excellent example of a one piece, die struck, steel HJ buckle with nickel silver plating. The silver finish remains approx. 65% in place on the obverse and approx. 75% on the reverse. The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged HJ eagle clutching an HJ diamond within its talons on a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: “Blut und Ehre” (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes, and all lies on the smooth rectangular background. This is a wicked cool variant, as the reverse is set up as a slide catch. The reverse is marked with RZM stamp M4/110 for Joseph Feix & Söhne, Gablonz. A very good example.
