US Vietnam War Era USS Hancock Cigarette Lighter, Penguin Mfg

Original period manufacture. Made in Japan by Penguin, USS Hancock, CVA-19. Shows age and wear to the case, looks like it just needs fluid. Launched in April 1944, she saw service during WWII, Philippines, Iwo Jima and Okinawa, recommissioned in 1954, she saw further service during the Vietnam War including the evacuation of Saigon in 1975. This venerable old warhorse was sold for scrap in 1976.
