Swiss M1889 Army Officers Sword, Mohr & Speyer Mfg

Original era manufacture. A well made sword as most Swiss things seem to be, forthright polished steel blade measuring 32 inches in length, running straight and true with a quill back point. Ornate pierced steel guard with the Swiss cross at the center of the bow. Fish skin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Plated steel scabbard with a single carrying ring, and above, a rectangular standing loop just below the throat. The scabbard is free of dents, just displaying wear to the finish from honest use. The blade itself has no issues, and is marked with a Swiss Cross and the name Mohr & Speyer on the obverse ricasso. Missing the sword knot.
