French M1874 Gras Bayonet, Steyr Mfg 1878

Original era manufacture. A very clean example with a brass pommel and sound wooden grips. T-shaped polished steel blade measuring 21 inches in length, even steel patina finish to the guard. Austrian manufacture marked on the spine, Usine de Steyr 1878.Dent free blue steel finished scabbard, with minimal light surface corrosion. Leather frog attached.There are a few minor bumps to the grips, but overall this is a very clean example of this well-made bayonet. Swiss pattern bayonet frog.
