Gold braid trim on the collar and cuffs, with a slip-on rank board on each shoulder bearing a crown and star for the rank of Lt. Colonel. Full body lining of quilted silk with a red moroccan leather band at the waist. The collar is lined with black silk and secured with two brass hooks, white silk lined sleeves. Overall the coat is quite sound and very attractive. Scattered minor staining from wear, with interior wear to the lining, and the collar lining is basted in. The 124th Duchess of Connaught's Own Baluchistan Infantry was designated so in 1903, being raised in 1820 as the 12th Native Bombay Infantry and remained loyal to the crown during the Sepoy Rebellion. It was disbanded in 1921.
