Fifty Years Faithful Service Medal

Fifty Years Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen Sonderstufe für 50 Jahre). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted the Faithful Service Decoration, in three classes. This was in recognition of long serving civil servants, and public works personnel. The rare 50 years faithful service medal is complete with its original confectioned blue ribbon, the medal is in good used condition, showing a darkened age-patina. The medal is not visible maker marked but very likely produced by the company of 'Deschler & Sohn' from München. Hard to find original example in good used condition.
