British Victorian Era, M1827 Royal Navy Officers Sword

Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 29 inches in length, with etched panels on both sides, decocorated with naval motifs, Queen's crown and Victoria's cypher. The blade is displays an even steel patina finish with evidence of cleaned corrosion. The blade runs fairly straight, with a slight drift to the right about 6 inches back from the point. Gilded brass lion head pommel guard with a good deal of the original gilding remaining. The reverse side folds down with a strong spring. Newer sword knot slipped through the guard. No scabbard.
