US WWII M1917A1 Kelly Helmet, Named

Original era manufacture. A standard pattern helmet with a decent liner but missing the pad inside the crown. Hand written naming on the leather with the soldier's service number, so some research potential here. The short side of the chinstrap remains, but the long side has been cut. Mix of original rough texture finish and surface corrosion with a slight splash across the front.
