Description

Lot of 2 Göring  Biographies-The first book is titled, Marshall Without Glory by Ewan Butler, and Gordon Young-This is a first edition hardcover published by Hodder & Stoughton in 1951. This book is written in English and takes you through the life of Hermann Göring . It contains 288 pages with an index and bibliography. There are black and white photos throughout. The next book is called “Hermann Goering” by Roger Manvell and Heinrich Frankel. This was published in 1962 by Simon and Schuster. Frankel traveled extensively through Germany and interviewed family, friends and even enemies of Göring for this biography. There are a few black and white photos of his mother and father, Carin (his first wife), and even his infamous Godfather Ritter von Epenstein. The book itself is in good condition. There are a few notes marked inside. This was a US Army library copy from Fort Stewart Georgia, so there is a library stamp and a few notes. The binding on this book is intact but slightly loose. There are a few spots of wear, tape marks and discoloration to the black fabric hardcover. Overall, this may be the better biography, but we are tossing the other one in as well.
