Description

EU-Deactivated Italian Breda M37 Machine Gun on Tripod (Mitragliatrice Breda calibro 8 modello 37). The Breda M37 was an Italian Medium machine gun produced by Breda and adopted in 1937 by the Royal Italian Army. It was the standard heavy machine gun for the Royal Italian Army during World War II. The Breda M37 was also used by the German Army during WW2, see attached period images from usage in the Wehrmacht on the Southern (Italian) Front and usage by the 'SS-Polizeiregiment 'Bozen' on the Balkan. This example is made in 1942 and comes with its original tripod. The functional tripod retains most of its original fieldgrey paint. The total weight of the machine gun and tripod is almost 40kg. The set comes with an original Breda ammo box with one empty clip which will make the set great for display. The Breda has been deactivated conform the requirements of the common minimum technical specifications set out in Annex I from the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/337 and comes with a Certificate of Deactivation. This Breda is free to own for EU citizens, aged over 18 years. We will sell this Breda only to people above the age of 18 (with proof) within the EU (please check your country's regulations before purchasing). Nice original 1942 dated Breda M37 with original tripod in very good condition!
