British WWII Steel Helmet and Liner, Dated 1942

Original era manufacture. British WWII steel helmet with liner. The helmet shell is dated 1942, and the liner is size marked 7 3/4. Someone with a sense of humor wrote the name Sgt. Alvin York in pencil on the rim. Normal age and wear, no chinstrap.
