Japanese Taisho Era Army Enlisted Blue Wool Cap, Artillery Piping

Original era manufacture. A low crown, blue wool bodied hat, with yellow wool piping and band. Painted leather visor with a sewn edge, and adjustable chinstrap. Single gilded brass star at front. Cheap paper lining with a printed design, oilcloth sweatband decorated with a thin white silk ribbon decoration. The body of the hat displays extreme moth damage, yet amazingly remains very displayable. Scarce hat to find in any condition.
