US Civil War Import, Austrian M1849 Augustin Carbine Bayonet

Original era manufacture. Massive polished steel bayonet with a 23.5 inch blade. It's amazing to me that this bayonet was designed for use on a carbine length rifle. Although, it has been suggested, that it was also employed as a short sword.No issues, just a nice even steel patina finish overall. Saw one of these recently on EBAY which sold for $365, we got a good buy on this one and so can you.
