Japanese WWII Army Issue EM Wool Hat, Metal Star

Original era manufacture. Classic enlisted field hat as worn by the IJA in all theaters of WWII. Olive wool hat with a leather sweatband, white cotton lining and leather chinstrap. On the front of the cap is a brass star, it appears to be the only insignia ever in place. Three embroidery reinforced ventilation holes on each side of the crown, with two small cloth loops on each side of the rear bottom edge to accommodate a removable neck flap. Issue stamps can be seen on the interior of the lining. No moth issues, but some fading is visible on the rear of the hat and top portion.
