Description

A nice example of the iconic Lancaster Sword Bayonet made to fit the Lancaster Carbine. This is a full-size post 1858 version with press stud spring fastened by slotted head screw. Pipe back blade with this distinguishing quill tip, in a brass clad leather scabbard. Originally issued to the sappers and miners, this one is stamped on the pommel with M S C 5000 08 95; so, it was later issued to the Medical Staff Corps. It is in overall, very good condition with signs of wear and use, but no rust to the blade just a few small areas of light staining, It measures 29 inches long. Shipping to UK mainland only
