Description
This bayonet was adopted by the Belgian infantry in 1916 for use with the M1889 Mauser rifle. Overall length of the bayonet itself is 57cms with a blade length of 44.5cms. The muzzle-ring is 17.5mm dia. The blade is double-edged and is roughly finished, the coarse surface finish being original as manufactured. The pommel is steel with wooden.grips rivetted in place. The ricasso is stamped with a small 'H' in a circle and the quillon is serial numbered '43126'. The blued steel scabbard is in beautiful condition with 100% finish. BUYERS OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE ONLY.
