USSR / Finland : Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 Socket Bayonet with Leather Scabbard.

Sold
£80.00

Description

Excellent example of this Russian bayonet for the Mosin-Nagant rifle with working push-button catch. The blade is cruciform with a screwdriver-type tip. Overall length is 50cms. All original blued finish is intact. The socket is hand-engraved with the serial number '105001' and there is another minute symbol stamped at the base of the blade. Russian forces did not utilise a scabbard and kept the bayonet permanently affixed to the rifle. These bayonets were however also used by Finnish forces who did use a scabbard and this example is accompanied by its original scarce all-brown leather scabbard with belt-suspension loop rivetted in place. Apart from a minor small hole near the base of the scabbard the whole ensemble is in excellent condition. BUYERS OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE ONLY. UK CUSTOMERS ONLY - I WILL NOT POST WEAPONS ABROAD.
