Imperial : German Bavarian 25th Anniversary of The 17th Infantry Regiment 'Orff' Commemorative Medal.

Stamped silvered metal pin-back ribbon-bow surmounted by the state arms.of Bavaria. The ribbon-bow bears 'K.B.17 I.R Orff 1878 1903'. From the bow is suspended a bronze 29mm dia medal bearing on the obverse an effigy of 'Luitpold Prinz Regent von Bayern'. The reverse simply bears ' Zur Erinnerung an das 25 Jähr. Jubiläum d.K.bayr.17 Inf.Regts 'Orff' Germersheim 1903'. (Germersheim was the regiment's garrison town). Very good condition apart from the loss of some of the blue enamel paint on the state arms.
