Silver metal and enamel pin-back unit distinctive as worn on a pocket fob. This colonial infantry regiment was formed in Algeria in 1837 and continued until 1960 when they were finally disbanded.prior to the looming Algerian independence in 1962. There is no pattern number on the reverse but around the pin-plate is the partially obscured makers mark of what is probably 'Drago 25 Rue Bélanger III Nice-Paris'. Very good condition.
